APM Dock Station

What is the APM Dock Station

APM Dock Station Default Setup

The APM Dock Station is an application that allows a retailer or an event Photographer to load images on to a set of folders that another device or devices (up to 6 total) can access through shared folders over a wired or Wireless network.

Hardware and Network Requirements

  1. The requirements for the APM Dock station are the same as the APM, but it does not necessarily require the APM software itself to be installed.
  2. All the latest .NET 4 Framework (Full install) should be on the system
  3. There is one additional requirement in that the machine has to have shared folders/directories that the APM systems using the Dock Station for loading images in one of the two modes, Tablet or Event, can access over the network, be it a wireless network or a wired network.
  4. The APM devices must to be on APM Version 7.6.0.16 or higher and have the correct licensing for Event or Tablet mode.

Installation and Setup

  1. Confirm that you have the latest and greatest installed in terms of Windows Updates, .NET 4 Framework, etc.
  2. Run the APM Dock Station installer. The name will be something similar to Lucidiom_APM_Dock_Station_1.X.X.X_Setup.exe.
    Window 7 Compatibility Dialogue Box
If you get the Windows 7 Compatibility Dialogue Box, any option should work. However, for the best compatibility, you can let it reinstall for what the Operating Systems thinks is the best compatibility mode. (recommended for 64 bit versions of Windows 7)
  3. Reboot when prompted.
  4. Use the following link for information on Configuring the APM Dock Station
